…….. “LIU WINS!! LIU WINS!!” She won hands down last November. School District D49 School Board Member Ivy Liu represents parents and is doing an amazing job with her colleagues to ensure kids are focused on the ABCs not CRT. As per a statement in January, 2022, this was Ivy Liu’s commitment to parents in her school district, “THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! You have elected me with the highest level of confidence I can ever hope for: 65% of the votes. Thus, I will do everything in my power to initiate motions to improve every aspect of our District: 1. Academic performance above and beyond the levels even before COVID 2. Ensure SEL used in the district does not include elements not acceptable to the district and operates IAW with our CRT Ban Resolution. 3. Ensure questionable gender education does not get taught in the district. 4. Ensure questionable books do not become accessible to the children in D49. 5. Make curriculum transparent to the community. PLEASE STAY ENGAGED AND INVOLVED, AND CONSIDER COMING BACK INTO THE SCHOOLS TO LEND A HAND AND ADD YOUR SPECIAL TOUCHES TO THE CHILDREN. PLEASE CONTINUE TO HOLD THE BOARD AND THE ADMINISTRATION ACCOUNTABLE TO OUR PROMISES OF CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT.”
Doubling down on her commitments, Ivy provides her Updates on Education in District D49 from my perspective Facebook page. “This page represents my PERSONAL perspective on education. All citizens should be concerned about K-12 education because children are the target of enemies who wish to destroy our country. Look what they did in Russia, Nazi Germany, and Communist China. NO, REALLY! Please pay attention to your schools, local and national politics whether you like it or not. Protecting our children should not be a political issue. It should be NATIONAL priority at the highest level. If you are not FOR protecting our children, then you are AGAINST it.”
We certainly need a lot more Conservatives like Ivy to step up to the plate and run for school board.
